Baroque libraries and books

The "Baroque libraries" is built on the catalogues of libraries that have really existed and belonged to roman literates, artists or bibliophiles. It includes the library of a convent, which was important non only for its content but also because it lended out its books ( List of libraries).

A very high number of the titles mentioned in the catalogues have been located on the web and have been inserted in the data base Books where the user can not only see them in their early modern edition, but also browse, read, download them.

The function "search" operates on the whole group of libraries but it is also possible to search for the books of a single library through the entry "Archive".
